Senate President Sponsors Charity Campaign in Al-Wahdat Camp

Amman, March 11 - Senate President Faisal El-Fayez sponsored a charity campaign to distribute food parcels and blankets at the Development Center of the Al-Wahdat Camp Services Committee on Tuesday.

El-Fayez said: "In Jordan, due to the economic challenges we face as a result of the current situation in the region, we need everyone to be partners in working to promote the values ​​of giving and social solidarity. Everyone is responsible for facing the economic difficulties that the country is going through, and contributing to improving the living conditions of citizens."

He added, "We look forward to the private sector, especially banks, major companies and businessmen, to play a greater and broader role in promoting social work and social solidarity, and to work on establishing more social solidarity and community responsibility funds to support needy and chaste families, and to provide grants and easy educational loans for university students."

El-Fayez pointed out the importance of these funds playing a role in sponsoring orphans, and supporting hospitals with modern medical devices and equipment, based on social and humanitarian responsibility towards society.

He called on everyone to follow the approach of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who does not skimp on his people with his noble and continuous generosity, which aims to improve the living conditions of citizens and chaste families, in addition to His Majesty's support for various social, charitable and humanitarian work funds.

The campaign, which was initiated by the head of the Women's Committee in the Council, Senator Khawla Al-Armouti, included 700 families from the families of the Kingdom's camps, and is part of a series of similar initiatives implemented by Senator Al-Armouti in all governorates of the Kingdom.

The campaign, which came to confirm the Council's role in enhancing social responsibility, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, was attended by Senator Nidal Al-Hadid and Director of the Department of Palestinian Affairs, Engineer Rafiq Kharfan.

For their part, the attendees appreciated the patronage of the President of the Senate for this charitable initiative, which aims to consolidate and enhance social solidarity in the holy month of Ramadan.
