Amman, February 24 - The Senate Health, Environment and Population Committee, headed by Senator Dr. Yassin Al-Hasban, visited the Health Informatics Company, the "Hakeem" program, today, Monday, to review the reality of the program's work and evaluate the program's effectiveness in improving the quality of medical services, through digitizing health records and providing the necessary data to make accurate and rapid medical decisions.
Al-Hasban stressed the importance of computerizing the health sector in various public health facilities to control drug waste, contribute to improving the efficiency of health spending and provide more accurate and faster medical services to citizens, and generalize the "Hakeem" experience to the private sector once it is completed in the public sector.
He pointed out the importance of digital transformation in enhancing the efficiency of the health system and facilitating patients' access to medical services safely and effectively, stressing the need for the "Hakeem" program to integrate with various health sectors to ensure the continued improvement of the quality of health care, and save time and effort for medical staff and patients alike.
For his part, the company's CEO, Omar Ayesh, confirmed that the company provides innovative technological solutions to empower the patient and facilitate his treatment journey through the "Hakimi" application services, such as the service of requesting the delivery of monthly medications for chronic diseases, the service of enabling the patient to view information from his electronic medical file, and the service of requesting a follow-up appointment. He said that the number of health facilities implementing the "Hakim" program has reached 330 today, and by 2026, the computerization of all public health sector facilities will be completed, to include more than 600 facilities, in order to move forward with the vision of economic modernization and complete the digital transformation process in the health sector in Jordan.
